Our former country life - Part 6

When it came time to decorating the living and dining areas, I couldn't resist reverting to my more traditional tendencies, while mixing them with a more modern aesthetic. Here you will find the wonderful 3.5m long dining table, with mixed dining chairs and amazing asteroid chandelier (assembled by yours truly).

'
The cowhide rug was bought at the Royal Easter Show and the chairs from Matt Blatt.

The amazing longhorns were bought at auction on Ebay from Texas.

The enormous coffee table I had made locally from brushed steel and glass. It measures 1.8m sq and weighs a tonne. The beautiful silk rug was a wedding present from my uncle in Hong Kong.

The fire is an Ecosmart fire which runs on bioethanol. It has no need for a chimney, no logs or mess. It works a treat and looks amazing.

The cushions I had made locally from a combination of Warwick and Ralph Lauren fabric.

The fish painting is by local artist Vanessa Brown, the antique vineyard clock belonged to my mother in law in England.

The Texas longhorns were such a great feature and drew plenty of comments, and sit well above the black Ikea sideboard.
