Our former country life - Part 5

The kids' bedrooms were a given. Blue for boys and pink for girls. In this respect I am a real traditionalist. I don't like children's bedrooms to be too funky or modern and prefer them to reflect their age, and their interests, to be cosy and comforting. This is what we created for Charlie.

The feature wall was painted Dulux Stream.

The armchair covered in an aqua Jane Churchill check.

The alphabet prints are from Kindergallery and framed locally.

The bamboo mirror was bought at auction many years ago.

Charlie's duvet and cushions are from Dwell Studio.

Poppy's bedroom featured a beige wall painted Dulux White Duck, with pink and white fabrics. The roman blinds were made with a Fabric Convention pink toile, and the curtains a plain white duck fabric with pink gingham trim.

The wall prints are from  Lark  featuring the beautiful Bella and Boo series, and framed locally.

The French chest and mirror are from La Maison

The lampshade is a simple white lamp and shade from Fantastic Furniture covered in the same pink gingham that trims the white duck curtains. I covered them myself, in a very rustic fashion. The pink gingham boxes are from Bed Bath n Table.

More interiors to follow.......

  1. The colour in Poppys room is truly scrumptious.. Kitty is having a Belle and Boo themed party in a few weeks.. I even asked Mandy if I could trace Boo onto butchers paper for a colouring competition as wanted to post pics after the event but was slightly concerned with copy right...in true Mandy style she said trace away and make sure to send me pictures!! xx
